| Abstract: | Study was conducted at the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center in December 1963. Plots were treated with DDT, dieldrin, or heptachlor. Earthworms and soils were sampled from each plot when treated and 0.5, 1.2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20 and 24 months thereafter. Samples were analyzed by gas chromatography for residues of aldrin, dieldrin, endrin, heptachlor, heptachlor epoxide, chlordane, BHC, DDT and DDE. |
