Abstract

The two major orebodies of the Smith Lake district are primary, instead of redistributed in the late Tertiary as postulated earlier. The primary status is evident in an approx 100 m.y. age that is commensurate with that of the host rocks, in offsets by Laramide faults, and in persistence of uranium site- and quantity-correlation with cementing amorphous organic material introduced during diagenesis.-G.J.N.
