| Abstract: | Ground-water-quality samples were collected from 30 shallow monitoring wells located in agricultural areas of the lower Coastal Plain of South Carolina during the summer of 1997 as part of the U.S. Geological Survey National Water-Quality Assessment Program in the Santee River Basin and Coastal Drainages study unit. The wells were completed in sand to clayey sand sediments of the surficial aquifer and sampled one time for selected field properties, and nutrient, major ion, and pesticide concentrations. This report contains the results of the sampling effort. |
