| Abstract: | A May 1980 potentiometric surface map of the Suwannee River Water Management District area, Florida, depicts water levels in wells tapping the Floridan aquifer. Compared to the May 1976 potentiometric map of the area, there are no significant differences in the general appearance of the contours. Water levels, however, are generally about 10 feet higher than in 1976 along the Suwannee River and for some 20 miles west of the river and in Gilchrist and Levy Counties to the east. (USGS) |
