| Abstract: | Twenty-two studies of water resources in Utah were conducted by the U.S. Geological Survey from July 1, 1985, through June 30, 1986. Three of these studies were completed on or before June 30 , 1986, and four were scheduled to be completed on September 30, 1986. Seventeen of these studies were in cooperation with Federal, State, county, or local agencies. Six additional studies are proposed to begin on July 1 or October 1, 1986 or April 1, 1987. The 28 current and proposed projects include 5 involved mainly with collection of data, 4 concerned with the hydrology of Utah ‘s energy-resource areas, 3 focused on floods, 4 on surface water or surface water quality, 4 on groundwater in unconsolidated sediments, mostly in the basins of western Utah, 2 concerned with groundwater in consolidated rock in southeastern Utah, 5 focused on groundwater quality, and 1 on general water availability.
