| Abstract: | Mean annual suspended-sediment yields are listed for 481 selected stations on streams draining basins within and adjacent to the coal fields of the Eastern Coal Province and the eastern region of the Interior Coal Province of the Eastern United States. The drainage basin of each of these stations has an area of 100 and 10,000 sq km; one third or less of the basin drains to a manmade impoundment. Also listed are the percentage of the basin covered by forest, the mean stream-channel gradient of the basin, and any coal-mining activity in the basin. (USGS) |
