| Abstract: | This project documents the results of a study of the cost-effectiveness of the stream-gaging program in the Hawaii District. The stream gages in the District were divided into two groups, the State of Hawaii and the Other Pacific Areas. Data uses and funding sources were identified for the 124 continuous stream gages currently being operated in the Hawaii District with a budget of $570,620. All the stream-gages were identified as having sufficient reason to continue their operation and they should be maintained in the program for the foreseeable future. (USGS) |
