Abstract
This is a compilation of eight papers on new and preliminary investigations in the geologic sciences in Alaska. The volume is organized into topics including resources, geologic framework, and environment and climate. These topics reflect the scope and objectives of currently active USGS programs from all parts of the state. These findings are of interest to earth scientists in academia, government, and industry, and to the general public.
