Abstract

The study area occupies approximately 168 square miles of the Sacramento Valley. The study area boundary is the Yuba River in the north, the Feather River in the west, the Bear River in the south, and the Sierra Nevada foothills in the east.


Between December 1976 and March 1977, 640 wells were selectively canvassed and 274 water levels were taken in the wells canvassed Thirty-six water levels measured in March and April 1976 are recorded in this report. Descriptive data for water wells and water levels are recorded in table 1, and location of wells is shown on maps 1-23.
