Abstract

The Upper East Coast Planning Area, one of five designated planning areas in the South Florida Water Management District, consists of St. Lucie, Martin, and eastern Okeechobee Counties. Existing hydrologic and geologic data have been compiled as a base for additional investigations to determine the water-bearing characteristics of the shallow aquifer system in the area. These data include lithologic logs from 51 wells in excess of 90 feet in depth, periodic ground-water levels from 100 wells, and ground-water levels from 100 wells, and ground-water quality data from 93 wells.
