Abstract

This report is one in a series resulting from the U.S. Geological Survey's Snake River Plain RASA (Regional Aquifer System Analysis) study that was initiated in October 1979.

As stated by Lindholm (1981), the purpose of the study was to (1) refine knowledge of the regional ground-water flow system, (2) determine effects of conjunctive use of ground and surface water, and (3) describe water chemistry.

The purpose of this report is to summarize knowledge concerning the geohydrologic framework of the Snake River Plain. Definition of the framework is based on preexisting geologic and hydrologic data and new date collected during this study.
